Bremen Energy Climate - For efficient energy consumption in buildings
Dr. Inga Labuhn, Dr. Adrien Deroubaix (University of Bremen)
Man-made climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time. In this context, energy production is considered the main cause of greenhouse gas emissions. With detailed knowledge of the energy consumption of buildings, potential savings can be identified. Bremen Energy Climate (BEC) offers a cost-effective analysis of the climate-dependent energy consumption of buildings. For this purpose, existing but previously unused data on the temporal energy consumption of buildings is used and linked to weather conditions. This allows both control over energy consumption and evaluation of past and potential future actions.
