monocles offers a complete alternative to the usual online services like Google, Microsoft or Facebook as well as to technical solutions and devices for professional and private everyday life. In doing so, monocles also takes sustainability aspects into account: The main system is powered by a completely own and independent power generation from renewable energies. Used or recycled components are used for the hardware. By using open source software solutions, by rejecting advertising and tracking, by being independent of corporations, organizations and institutions and also by financing the start-up from its own funds, monocles has the potential to become one of the world's most ethical digital and technical solutions.
