ancol - The mobile solution for sustainable food use
Florian Kirstein, Yunaris Cerra, Stephany Martelo (University of Bremen)
Ancol is a mobile production process that enables the further processing of waste from fruit processing farms. The goal: to reduce food waste in agriculture. For example, grape seeds, passion fruit seeds and mango seeds can be used to produce vegetable oils and fats that are well suited for use in natural cosmetic products. It is also possible to use other residual materials, such as coffee grounds and orange peels. Ancol is flexible and can be used at strategic locations at short notice. The use of solar energy enables resource-saving and location-independent operation. Thus, the raw materials are not only processed in a gentle and environmentally compatible manner, but also in a socially responsible manner.
